Horsemanship
Horsemanship builds confidence and is offered to horse lovers of all skill levels. Covered topics include safety, grooming, saddling, bridling, mounting and dismounting, proper handling and daily care. Learn about our horse facility and careers that are associated with horses, safe and proper clothing for horseback riding, and how to properly locate and identify the principal body parts of a horse. A Liability Release Form will have to be completed and signed for each participant.
Horse Fan
The Horse Fan Lesson is a total of 3 hours. The first hour and 15 mins. is an overview of the topics mentioned above. Next, your group will have the opportunity to ride a horse or pony for 45 mins. (led on a lead line) This 3 hour session is $25.00 per person for groups of 10-20.
Horseback Rider
The Horseback Rider Lesson is a total of 3 hours. The first hour covers grooming, saddling, bridling. The second hour includes instruction on proper mounting and dismounting and how to effectively communicate to your horse during a mounted riding lesson (not on a lead line). The last hour is the riding (not on a lead line). It is recommended that students participate in two mounted riding sessions in order to learn how to exhibit these skills independently. This 3 hour session is $30.00 per person for groups of 8. Larger groups will have separate riding times.
